True Profits!

The new code that we are providing publishers is bringing in some serious dough! Our highest performing ads are coming from the Premium Listing advertisers in these categories; Automotive, Finance, Travel and Health/Fitness.

The agreement we have with our advertisers in order to maintain maximum CPC rates, allows us to show a premium paying ad only on your pages where the end user has landed directly from a search engine (Google, MSN, and Yahoo). The rest of the time the ad will redirect to your next best performing ad unit (or you can show one of our "regular" ad units). Our ads will only show 30% of the time (only when a user comes in from a search engine). The other 70% of the time the ad will collapse into your next best performing ad unit. This revenue stream is also a great way to utilize unsold space on your site.

The code isn't available yet in our code panel, but will be soon. If you would like to give it a try, just email me: vik@chitika.com

See the sample above...keep in mind that it's only going to generate revenue for your site if at least 40% of your traffic is coming in from search engines.

Turning Page Views Into Profits!

Well, here I am! I haven't updated my blog in quite some time as I had to make the move up here to MA. I did get the position at Chitika...and this place is for real. Both large and small publishers are getting excellent results with the various Chitika programs.

What does "Blog" stand for anyway?

I never really knew just how big "blog-land" was...this ignorance is also coming from a someone that can't comprehend why people even bother with text messaging. I mean seriously, I see people just hacking away on their little keys on their phones...hold off on all the text messages, put together enough sentences and call that person!

Over the next week or so I need to emerse myself in the blog world. My wife and I are in the process of moving to Massachusetts. She got a promotion that takes us back to the Northeast. Luckily, her company is making it really easy for us...shipping up both cars and doing all the packing. She's all set now it's my turn to secure employment...ugh...after 3 weeks of being unemployed (by my own choice) it's time for me to hit the trail. I came across this company called Chitika. From what I've read, they market companies on over 15,000 different blog sites, I'm sure it's a bit more complex than that... I have a lot of experience with online marketing, and the chance to sell something new is exciting. I have a 10am phone interview with them tomorrow.
